In the past we have worked with many charities to raise funds and awareness for amazing causes in our local areas. There’s no better feeling than knowing you have helped someone less fortunate than yourself, we love to see charities grow bigger and stronger to help thousands of people with their services.
This is why we are dedicating our time to help VAL, Voluntary, Action, Leicstershire widen their market to even more local charities that may be struggling with the effects of COVID-19. VAL have helped change lives for over 50 years by sourcing willing volunteers, generously helping raise funds or even by teaching them how to use their social media effectively. VAL’s aim is to strengthen the local volunteer sector, with the hope of grouping a large number of individuals that can help many charities see bigger success rates than ever before.

VAL originally formed in 1965 as the Leicester Council for Social Services, over the years, Voluntary Action Leicester have evolved rapidly, however, always kept the local people at it’s heart. VAL help strengthen the local voluntary sector, overcome employment barriers and support those with learning difficulties.
Kevan Liles is the VAL Chief Executive, he joined VAL in 1990 and from 1991 he built the reputation and size of VAL to the level of organization it has become today. Kevan led the fund-raising of the £1 million needed in order to refurbish and to establish VAL as a critical partner in the city, he is a crucial part of the team and is a lot of the reason as to how VAL came to be so successful.
